Commissioned Work

WP_20141011_003At the suggestion of my Sister in-law, I have added this page to my site.

The idea is for people who like my work but don’t see a painting they want, they can send a favorite landscape photograph for me to consider painting for them.    This could be a way for you to get the painting you want and for me to get some additional feedback on what my audience likes.

In order for this to work for both parties, we will follow these guidelines:

  1. You may submit a photograph of the scene you wish to have painted. High resolution photographs are best and can be sent via email (as an attachment) or by regular post.
  2. I will look at the photograph and contact you with my decision to paint it or not
  3. You and I will agree on the conditions of the commissioned work (size, framing, approximate schedule and price)
  4. I will complete the work
  5. I will send you a high resolution photograph of the completed work
  6. You may accept the work as is and pay the previously agreed to price or decide you don’t wish to purchase the painting
  7. If you decide buy the painting, I will need payment in full for the work and I will ship it to you
  8. Finally, I hope you will be very happy with the painting you receive.

Physical photographs will be returned only if:

  1. I agree to make a painting from the photograph
  2. You purchase the finished painting.
  3. If you do not commission the work or do not purchase the final work, all rights to the photograph and painting belong to me.
