As an intern with the Electrification and Automation (EA) division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure , you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow - all within a collaborative, impact-driven environment. 

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Process Excellence internship beginning in May or June 2027. This position will be based at our Wendell, North Carolina office location. 

You’ll make an impact by: 

• Partnering with Process Excellence and Program Management team members to support process-related initiatives across the business. 
• Supporting the definition, analysis, and mapping of new and existing business processes. 
• Creating and maintaining process documentation, including process maps, how-to guides, and other business process content. 
• Supporting fit-gap analysis activities and Process Excellence initiatives, including support for the SHERPAX transformation effort. 
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to build and maintain a centralized business process content catalog and repository. 

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field and approaching completion of the required educational credentials for this opportunity. 
• Experience with process mapping, technical documentation, and process analysis, including fit-gap analysis and redundancy identification, using Microsoft Visio or other process mapping platforms. 
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship. 
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. 
• This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Power BI and data visualization tools. 
• Familiarity with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) or other process documentation methodologies. 
• Experience creating AI agents or AI-supported tools. 
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, or other analytics solutions. 
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
