Job Description

As a Mig Welder, you will perform MIG welding on structural steel products, such as concrete bracings, anchors, embeds, and support assemblies. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions. Additionally, you will prepare materials for welding using grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment, inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional specifications, and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering personnel to resolve fabrication issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or structural steel environment.
• Experience reading blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of welding processes, weld symbols, and measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience welding structural steel components.
• AWS certification or equivalent welding credentials.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Familiarity with concrete construction accessories and embedded steel products.

Work in a hot manufacturing environment with shifts from 2:30PM to 11:00PM. The facility uses a point system for attendance, where tardiness, incomplete shifts, and absences are monitored. Points accumulated within a rolling 12-month period can lead to warnings, suspensions, or termination.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in San Antonio,TX.
